Kurkov’s Diary

My last detection has been the Ukrainian writer Andrej Kurko. He was born in Russia 1961. His grandmother was Ukrainian, his father Russian. He – saying about himself – would be a Russian speaking Ukrainian. His mother tongue is Russian, though he speaks and writes Russian as well as Ukrainian  and does it in several other languages either. Currently I’m reading his diary of the first war months. But it’s not really a diary it’s like mix of daily memories, political observations, historical, sociological and psychological thoughts, I like such a panoram, it’s never boring, everytime, these remain short remarks,
