Sophia and Grayson visited us. It was a really nice evening. Surprisingly both didn’t drink alcohol so the receiving drink was water from their part and sparkling wine from our one’s. He was very glad that he could communicate English with me and he also did it without delaying his speaking speed. Thus I had often great problems to comprehend him. Two very nice utterances I can’t prevent myself from to repeat them: the post I had sent, he said, was in a better English than he would be able to write. And later: when he would speak as German as I speak English then he would judge it’s sufficient, he would be satisfied. The subjects of our talk switched from one point to another, it wouldn’t make sense to recapitulate it.
All in all, I was a really strong test for me. I can’t say I passed it but I would say I didn’t drown, especially, when I was speaking. Listening and understanding remain my big problems.
