Gulasch with rice

Cooking today was very simple and I did it myself without any support from Ulrike. I bought a prepared beef goulash in a Turkish shop and then I took a paprika and an onion and cut them into small pieces. Then I steamed it—or better to say, fried it briefly in hot oil—and put the goulash into it, let it fry a bit, and then poured some water into it, together, if I remember correctly, with a spoon of broth powder. It needed about a quarter of an hour until the beef was cooked and edible. At the same time, I put the rice in a pot with hot oil, steamed it a little, added some turmeric to it, and after having a good consistency of the rice (the rice grains shouldn’t stick to each other anymore), I poured some water into it, and let it cook until the rice became soft but not too soft.

During a bike tour of about 18 km, I listened to two podcasts: firstly one with Ronzheimer and Pleitgen, and secondly one with General Bühler. Knowledge from the first: Putin doesn’t want a ceasefire until he has got the three oblasts  and from the second one: the investigation article in the NYT has to be considered critically because the claims are not proven and most of them are anonymous. In any case, the United States is not a direct combatant in this war.
