Program for the lessons with Shane

I would like to suggest the following topics for the next X lessons going on:

Talking about history. First, I will tell you the history of my sunken state I was growing up in, and I’m really a time witness for it, from the beginning to the end. That shouldn’t be a lesson, but a steadily interrupted talking, interrupted by understanding questions, pronunciation and grammar corrections. And last but not least, just a lot of suggestions by you for casual speaking, using phrasal verbs, and things like that.

The second part is for you: the history of South Africa, the founding, the development of apartheid, and the negotiations between the ANC and the white government in the 90s. Years ago, I saw a very interesting documentary-like film about this phase.

With this program, we can cover a lot of historical and political vocabulary, which I am very interested in. Of course, it’s not necessary to follow the path strictly. If we encounter new things which are very interesting, we can interrupt it with these suddenly arising topics.

And anyway, I have the intention to continue my walk through my flat for exercising vocabulary and for giving you the environment where I am living.

What do you think about it? I hope it’s sufficiently interesting for you. I like the parallelism of these situations: two sunken states and nevertheless not vanished countries.
