A small recovery

In the beginning, some short remarks about yesterday. After a long time, I started again to walk a little longer. The last time, it was very difficult for me to walk, so I almost stopped completely. But I was doing my training, of course — on the one hand, on the equipment in my rehabilitation studio, on the other hand, at home with gymnastics, especially with Feldenkrais. Suddenly I dared to go for a walk, and I was totally surprised that I could go more than 200 meters without grasping my sticks for support. Step by step, I noticed it could be a longer walk than I had had recently. And so I completed my standard round of about 3 kilometers — not at a very high speed, but better than the days before. It was about 4.5 kilometers per hour, and I took only some very short pauses, especially to skip the advertisements while listening to video podcasts on YouTube.

After the walk, I had a long pause, and then we decided to have a car trip to a nice area near Berlin, and I was able to go for another walk — but this time with stick support, because I didn’t dare to risk my success from the morning. Today I am very exhausted from this walk, and I stopped all exercises and didn’t dare to go for a walk, and now I am resting for the whole day and studying English, as I like.

Now I’m trying harder to improve my English understanding — again and again it’s my weakness — and I have to admit that my level of understanding is closer to A2 or A1 than higher. I was recently recommended an app to improve comprehension, and that app is very demanding for me, so I decided to start with the A1 level and go step by step to the higher levels. Right after installing the app, I tested the higher levels and found that I could only understand a few words in each sentence that was ofered to me.
