A cold and cooking

At the moment, I’m facing the danger of catching a cold as Ulrike already has gotten one. Did I infecte myself? Maybe? I hope my resilience is strong enough to fight  it off quickly. All this is  totally ridiculous just some days before my 85th birthday with a lot of guests, the whole family coming. And we are ill! It’s certainly a bad idea.

Yesterday, I wrote a long article but nothing about cooking and I have planned to write every day about cooking building up the right vocabulary. Therefore, let me speak about my cooking from yesterday. It was a simple and quick meal: noodles with spinach and smoked salmon. The frozen spinach has to be  cooked gently and in the same time you can cook the noodles until there are soft enough. After pouring out the noodles into a sieve heating oil in the same pot and fry onions in it. Add the noodles and steam or fry them a little. Now stir the spinach with it and then put in the salmon. Mix it carefully and distribute it on the plates. It’s a fine meal, we like it and  cook it relatively often.
