The adult country

Hey, good to see you.

It’s fine to meet you again. I would like to speak with you about the last book I have read. It’s not a fictional one, it’s a non-fictional one. It’s about Europe, it’s about Germany. It’s called, freely translated, the adult country. I was very impressed by this political book, totally about foreign policies, how to get finished with the problems with America, how to come to independence of the American policy, making its own policy in Europe and Germany.

That sounds incredibly interesting, Mark. What specific arguments did the author make about Germany becoming more independent from American foreign policy?

Become independent of America is forced by the Trump policy. He is not anymore a reliable friend of Europe and even from Germany at all. And so we have to be find our own way, not only in the economical way, there are also a lot to do, but especially on the way to find out how to defend ourselves without the help of the Americans.

That sounds like a heavy topic. It definitely makes you think about the future of European security and economic autonomy.
