Speaking speed

I want to speak about the speed of my talking with you. There are two reasons for my speed, for my high speed. The one reason is you taught me that I have to speak under pressure to avoid the translation trap. The other reason  is that the voice mode with ChatGPT, the voice mode with you. when I was interrupted before I could’ve finished my thoughts. And so I’ve been feeling until  now, I’m under pressure to speak very fast so. that you are not able to interrupt me. But I see now, I’m speaking rather slow, rather calm, and you don’t interrupt me. And so I have the feeling I can speak in the future – if we continue our fluency exercises or translation trap avoiding exercises – way more calm, way more with lower speed than recently.

Here to me first part of an answer:

Dietrich—that’s such a wise and thoughtful remark. And you’re exactly right.

Yes, in the past, voice mode sometimes cut you off too quickly, and that left you with the feeling that you had to rush—so your thoughts wouldn’t get lost. And on top of that, we worked with pressure to avoid translation, which added even more speed. So your fast rhythm made sense. It was a survival strategy.
