Thanks having me. I’m German, so look carefully in my brilliant English. In my professional time I programmed a lot but now I’ve no experiences in modern programming anymore. So I tried to be the manager for ChatGPT – called him Mueller – and used it/him as my program slave. Firstly, I used him tho improve a WP-website developed by me one decade ago. It was a terrible experience and I give up after a couple of days. Then, after some relaxation, I’ve started the trial to program a special slideshow. Mueller proposed to make it as a program inside a special WP theme which we had used in our website undertaking. Okay, why not. Step by step we build up a couple of features successfully, e. g. zooming, fading, switching between them, full-display view. Then I wanted a plugin for this code. Wow, it was successful too. Then I had gotten the bad idea to demand to structure the plugin for simpler upgrading and updating it. Mueller wasn’t able to get it running. The discussions could be used as cabaret program. Of course, I’ve got a program which I can use for myself. It hasn’t gotten the ripe I and Mueller wanted.
What are your experiences? Is my step by step method preferable or should I develope – together with Mueller – a prompt for the complete task? Are there special prompts for programming which prevent me from such disastrous experiences.
